Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 18, 2026

Oparos LLC (“Oparos,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit or interact with oparos.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to the Oparos.com website. It does not apply to our Substack publications or our LinkedIn presence, which are governed by those platforms’ own privacy policies.

A note up front

Oparos does not run advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We will not start doing any of these things. If any of these commitments change in the future, we will update this policy and give you notice.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

Contact form submissions. When you complete the contact form on oparos.com, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your organization (if you choose to provide it)
  • The subject category you select
  • The message you write

We process contact form submissions through Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. Submissions are delivered to our email inbox and retained by Formspree according to their own retention policies. For details, see Formspree’s privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

Email newsletter signups. If you subscribe to Thrivability or any other Oparos publication on Substack, your email address and subscription preferences are collected and stored by Substack, not by Oparos directly. Substack’s privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy at substack.com/privacy.

Information collected automatically

Analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand how visitors find and use oparos.com. This may include information such as:

  • The pages you visit
  • The approximate region you are visiting from
  • Your device type and browser
  • How long you spent on the site
  • The website that referred you to us

We do not use tools that track individuals across the web or build advertising profiles. Where used, our analytics does not set cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

Server logs. Our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) for security, performance, and troubleshooting purposes. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used for marketing.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and requests
  • Deliver content you have requested (such as newsletter subscriptions via Substack)
  • Understand how our website is used and improve it
  • Protect against spam, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information to train machine learning models, sell to data brokers, or profile you for advertising.

3. Who we share your information with

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the website, and only to the extent necessary. As of the effective date of this policy, those providers include:

  • Formspree, which processes contact form submissions
  • Substack, which hosts and delivers our email publications (if you subscribe)
  • Our web hosting provider, which delivers the oparos.com website
  • Privacy-respecting analytics tools, if any are in use

We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in the event of a business transfer. If Oparos is ever acquired or merged, we will notify you before your information is transferred.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Oparos.com aims to use as few cookies as possible.

  • Strictly necessary cookies may be used to keep the site functioning (for example, to remember your preferences).
  • Analytics: where we use analytics, we prefer tools that do not set cookies.
  • Advertising cookies: we do not use any.

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Doing so will not prevent you from using oparos.com.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you
  • Request a copy of that information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain uses
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address at the bottom of this policy. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

  • Contact form submissions are typically retained in our email archive indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them.
  • Newsletter subscriptions are retained by Substack for as long as you remain subscribed.
  • Server logs and analytics data are retained for short periods consistent with their operational purpose.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Oparos.com is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International visitors
